Joshua Rockland

Joshu Rockland grew up in a Victorian House in Morristown, whose interior inspired his paintings. He graduated from Morristown-Beard School in 2003 and received a BFA in painting from the Mason Gross School of Arts at Rutgers. Currently, he teaches Art in Hanover Township Schools at Mountview Road and Memorial Junior Schools. He plans to make a career as a painter and show his work far and wide.

According to the artist, "I endeavor to create a choesive body of work with recurring subjects, themes and motifs shared amongst paintings....Through these elements, I strive to build a distinct visual language and personal mythology that captures the viewer's interest and imagination."
