Tuesday Book Club
Published on December 10, 2025
Do you like reading? Do you want a space to talk and discuss the stories you read? Join us from 2pm to 3pm every second Tuesday of the month for our Tuesday Book Club!
Each month we will discuss a new book. Our next meeting will be held on January 13th, and we will be discussing “The Ten Thousand Doors of January” by Alix Harrow.
In this sci-fi/"portal fantasy" book, in the early 1900s a young woman finds a book revealing secret doors to other worlds. Finding a story intertwined with her own life, she journeys to uncover the truth about her past, her parents, and her connection to these magical gateways. This book is celebrated for its lyrical prose and exploration of the power of stories, love, identity, racism, and the nature of home.
Future meetings will be:
February 10th: "Valiant Ambition" by Nathaniel Philbrick
March 10th: "Maisie Dobbs" by Jacqueline Winspear
April 14th: "Narn i chîn Húrin: the tale of the Children of Húrin" by JRR Tolkien
May 12th: "Hula" by Jasmin 'Iolani Hakes
June 9th: "Algospeak" by Adam Aleksic
Please note that you will need to obtain your own copy of the book for each month's discussion. Copies are available through the library consortium.
Registration is not required.
