Do you like reading? Do you want a space to talk and discuss stories you read? Join us from 2pm to 3pm every second Tuesday of the month for our "Tuesday Book Club"!

Each month we will discuss a new book. The first meeting will be held on January 9th, and we will be discussing "Hyperion" by Dan Simmons.

In this science fiction novel, the entire galaxy is at war. On planet Hyperion, seven people are chosen to make pilgrimage to the mysterious Valley of the Time Tombs. Time is short: invaders threaten, and the terrifying creature known as "The Shrike' awaits them. As in the Canterbury Tales, the travelers share their life stories. Each carries a desperate hope, and a terrible secret, and one may hold the fate of humanity in his hands.

Future meetings will take place on the following dates: Tuesday, February 13th; Tuesday, March 12th; Tuesday, April 9th; Tuesday, May; Tuesday, June 11th. For future titles, please check the library events calendar

Please note that you will need to obtain your own copy of the book for each month's discussion. Copies are available through the library consortium.

Registration is not required.
