Teen Summer Programs are back at MCL!
Summer Reading Bingo will be back at the library this year. Bingo cards will be available for pickup beginning June 22nd. Return the card to the Book Information Desk when you have a bingo to receive a raffle ticket. Completed bingo cards must be submitted by August 12th for a chance to win the grand prize. This year's prize is a Fuji Instax camera!
Our first summer event will be a Teen Movie on June 26th at 2:30 PM. Join us in the public meeting room to watch a teen movie! Visit our "Teen Movie Vote" page to vote on which movie you would like to watch! Snacks will be provided. Please note movie may be rated PG-13. Participants must be 13 years of age or older.
On July 17th, join us for Teen Tie-Dye! Drop in anytime between 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM with items you wish to tie-dye. Program will be held in the Children's Arts & Crafts Room.
Pop Culture Trivia will be held on August 16th from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. This Jeopardy style trivia will be done in teams, and members of the winning team will receive prizes!
Teens can also enjoy Take and Make crafts throughout the summer!
Melted Crayon Art : For this craft, teens will be given canvas and crayons to create their own melted art! You will need hot glue and a blow-dryer to complete the craft at home. Pickup begins June 26th while supplies last.
Braided Keychains : All supplies for this craft will be provided. Pickup begins July 10th while supplies last.
DIY Coasters : All supplies for this craft will be provided. Pickup begins July 24th while supplies last.
Macramé Plant Holders : All supplies for this craft will be provided. Pickup begins August 7th while supplies last.
All programs are intended for teens ages 13- 18. Space is limited, and no registration is required. Program will be first come, first served. Contact the Children's Department at 973-285-6980 with any questions.
