"The unexamined life is not worth living" - Socrates.
Do you enjoy deep, honest and respectful discussions of fundamental human questions? If so, then join us at the Morris County Library for our Socrates Cafe event! This program will take place on Tuesday, September 12th from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. We encourage you to arrive at the start of the program, but you may drop-in at any time during the event.
A Socrates Cafe is a gathering where people from different backgrounds get together and exchange philosophical perspectives based on their experiences, using the cooperative argumentative dialogue of the Socratic Method.
Everyone is welcome to join this program, regardless of age or familiarity of the Socratic Method! This program is for people from different cultural backgrounds, of different ages, native languages, careers, and educational levels. The only requirement for this program is a willingness to listen respectfully, and to be open to what people have to say even if you may disagree. Putting down others is absolutely not allowed. No one is required to speak, although sharing is encouraged within the supportive environment of the group. Refreshments will be provided.
Registration is not required for this program.
