New Jersey Maker's Day began in 2014 with the hopes of inspiring and highlighting STEM and maker culture to enhancing life-long learning. This all-ages event is intended to support making, tinkering, crafting, manufacturing, and STEM-based learning.

On Friday, March 15th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM stop by the library to participate in some of our Maker's Day Programs.

From 11:00am to 2:00pm children ages 3 to 12 are invited to participate in LEGO Time! This program is drop-in and does not require registration.

Between 10:00am and 4:00pm there will be Grab and Go STEAM kits available, while supplies last. STEAM kits are recommended for children ages 5 to 10.

Also, between 10:00am and 4:00pm, children of all ages can help create an Animal Collage. Children will be given magazine pages to look through and cut out images of animals before adding them to a collage. This activity will be located in the atrium outside the children's room and will be available as a drop-in program.

From noon to 4pm there will be DIY Braided Keychains available for teens and tweens while supplies last.  Braided keychains are recommended for ages 10 to 18.

At 3:15pm teens and tweens can also make Paint Pour Coasters! This program is for teens and tweens ages 12 to 18. Registration is required for this program. You may register for this program through our Eventbrite page.
