Please join us this October for midday music recitals in the back of our Readers' Services area. Performances will be held from 12:15pm to 12:45pm. Attendance is free of charge and seating is first come, first served. Bring your lunch and enjoy some great music while you eat!
On Wednesday, October 1st join us for a unique program to celebrate the legendary songwriters Joni Mitchell and Sting. Both are lauded as modern-day troubadours whose influential careers have spanned more than half a century. Vocalist extraordinaire, Ereni Sevasti, will be joined by guitarist, Darren O’Neill, to craft memorable interpretations of famous songs. Ereni Sevasti is an actor, singer and musician from New Jersey. While regularly performing in and around NYC, she is also a musical theater voice instructor at Montclair State University. Darren O'Neill is the current Library Director and Guitarist Extraordinaire.
On Wednesday, October 15th join us for an entertaining and educational program on important American songwriters. Musicians Marc Rosenthal (guitar/vocals) and Jeff Eyrich (bass) will perform well-known songs from the 1920’s to the 2020’s. They'll share stories about the lives and careers of the songwriters and discuss the history of American popular music. Marc Rosenthal is a songwriter’s songwriter, known for his lyric craft, distinctive voice and soulful songs steeped in classic rhythm & blues, pop, jazz, folk and country. Producer/Bassist Jeff Eyrich began his career in the early 70’s as an LA studio musician and touring sideman and would go on to produce more than 30 major label projects both in the US and Europe.
