Fall Children's Programs

Our popular Preschool Story Time and Music with Mr. Laurence sessions return on Tuesday, September 19th. Children ages 2-5 can join us for stories, fingerplays, and music. Story time will be held on Tuesdays: September 19th and 26th, October 3rd, 10th, 20th and 31st, November 14th and 21st and December 5th. All sessions are from 10:00am-10:30am.

Stop by the children's services desk to pick up a STEAM project from 11:00-12:00pm on Saturdays: September 16th, October 7th, November 18th and December 9th! For ages 5 to 12.One STEAM project per family while supplies last.

If you’re feeling lucky, stop by to Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin from October 2nd through October 28th. If you guess correctly, the pumpkin is yours to take home! Winner will be notified on October 30th. For children of all ages.

With Spooky Season upon us, we can’t wait to see your awesome costumes! Come show them off at the Children’s Halloween Parade on October 26th, from 2:45-3:30pm. Participants can “trick or treat” through the library for some fun take-home surprises. For children of all ages. Registration is not required to participate in our Halloween Parade. 

Also on October 26th, join us for a Halloween Magic and Comedy Show with Brian Richards from 3:45-4:30pm. This program is for children ages 3 to 12. Registration is required for ALL family members attending (children and adults). Registration begins on October 2nd. This program is sponsored by the Morris County Library Foundation.

On November 9th, from 10:00-10:45am, come and learn about some exotic animal friends with Eyes of the Wild, a New Jersey based animal refuge. For children ages 5 to 12. Registration is required for ALL family members attending (children and adults). Registration begins on October 10th. This program is sponsored by Clean Communities

From December 14th to December 30th, help our librarians find the lost Gingerbread men in the Children's room! Stop by any time during library hours and find the 10 missing Gingerbread men, once you have found them all return to the children's desk to collect a prize! 

Our fall programs come to an end on Thursday, December 14th with Mrs. Clause's Holiday Show from 3:45-4:30pm! Share the good cheer of the Yuletide with Mrs. Claus and Herbie the Elf. Partake in the stories, sing holiday songs and dance with the Sugarplum Fairies in this jolly celebration. This program is for children ages 5 to 12. Registration is required for ALL family members attending (children and adults). Registration begins on November 13th. Presented by Kit's Interactive Theater. Sponsored by the Morris County Library Foundation.
