September Computer Classes

The library is offering a variety of computer classes next month. There will be classes for both beginners and users who have more advanced skills.

For beginners, the library is offering a PC Basics class. This class will take place on Tuesday, September 1st from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Learn computer terms, understand the parts of the computer as well as how to create folders.

Also for beginners, we will be offering an Internet Basics class on Tuesday, September 8th at 2:00pm. Learn the basics about the internet, setting your home page, and using Google.

There will also be our Excel Series of classes which will begin on Wednesday, September 9th at 2:00pm. There are a total of three classes in the series, each will take place on Wednesdays from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Excel II will take place on September 16th and Excel III will take place on the 23rd. There will additionally be a Bookkeeping in Excel class held on Wednesday, September 30th at 2:00pm.

We will be hosting an Introduction to Gmail class on Tuesday, September 22nd at 2:00pm. Students can expect to learn about and practice with some of the basic features of their Gmail account: signing and out, two-factor authentication, composing an email, changing basic settings and more. You must have a Gmail account and be able to log in from a public computer in order to take this class. 

Registration is required for all computer classes. 

Please note basic mouse and keyboard skills are required for all classes. Standard classes last around 90 minutes and are designed for those with little to no experience. Classes in a series should be taken in order. Please bring a flash drive to computer classes to save your work.
