Children's Spring Programs

Spring into fun at the Morris County Library by joining us at one of our many spring children’s programs! Please note that children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times during library visits, including during library programs. 

Spring Grab & Go Crafts will be available for children ages 3 to 12 each week from March 25th to June 22nd. Craft kits can be picked up at the Children's Service Desk. One craft per child, while supplies last.

Our popular Preschool Story Time and Music with Mr. Laurence returns Tuesday, March 19th. Children ages 2 to 5 can join us for stories, fingerplays, and music. Story Time will be held each Tuesday from March 19th to April 16th, there will also be story time sessions on May 14th and May 21st. All sessions are from 10:00am to10:30am. On June 4th there will be a special Teddy Bear Storytime where children are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animal! This story time session is recommended for ages 2 to 5 and runs from 10:00am to 10:30am.

On Thursday, April 4th join Michael Albert for a Pop Art Workshop between 2:00pm and 4:00pm. This program is recommended for children ages 5 to 12. Registration for this program is required and will begin on Monday, March 18th. Call Children's Services at (973)285-6980 or email at kidsstaff@co.morris.nj.us to register. This program is sponsored by the Morris County Library Foundation.

Celebrate National Library Week on Thursday, April 11th from 4:00pm to 4:45pm with Earth Science Circus! Presented by Grand Falloons Family Theater. During this program children will join Professor Winkleburger and his guest, Mr. Meatloaf on a unique and lively exploration of "Our Earth," with magic, music and storytelling. This program is recommended for children in grades K through 6. Registration for this program is required and will begin on Monday, March 25th. Call Children's Services at (973)285-6980 or email at kidsstaff@co.morris.nj.us to register. This program is sponsored by Clean Communities.

On Saturday, April 20th as a part of Morris Authors Day, Draw-Along with Mike Moran from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Professional children's illustrator Michael Moran will demonstrate different ways to draw and develop a main character for a story. Mike has worked on projects for Scholastic, Highlights, and Disney! This program is recommended for children ages 7 to 12. Registration is not required for this program, but seating is limited.  

Our spring programs conclude with a Juneteenth Theater Program presented by Dr. Daisy Century, American Historical Theater on Thursday, June 13th from 4:00pm to 4:45pm. Learn about the first Juneteenth celebration in this historical interactive theater program. This program is for children in grades 5 and up, teens and adults. Registration is not required for this program, but seating is limited.
