At Arlington National Cemetery, an elite platoon of U.S. Army Soldiers stands watch over the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, one of the nation’s most revered monuments. Their vigil continues every second of every day, without fail, in a tradition that has come to symbolize the highest ideals of dignity, honor, and respect. “Sentinel: Inside the Sacred Duty” is a 34-minute documentary that takes viewers behind the scenes to meet the remarkable Soldiers, past and present, who have accepted this extraordinary responsibility. This film was produced in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Defense and carries deep personal significance for the filmmaker, Phil Garrison, whose father served as a Tomb Guard. Through the Sentinel's experiences and dedication, the film offers an intimate look at what it means to carry out this “Sacred Duty.”

Local filmmaker, Phil Garrison, will present brief opening remarks, as well as Q&A after the screening of the documentary.
