Master Gardeners

Volunteer Master Gardeners from The Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Morris County will be available in the lobby of the library to answer your gardening questions one Saturday/month, April - October, 2025.  Below is the schedule and what topic they'll highlight at each session.  All gardening questions are welcome at any session, regardless of the highlighted topic.

Ready, Set, Grow!  Seed sowing.

April 19	10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.	Ready, Set, Grow! Seed sowing.
May 17	10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.	Signs of stress from last fall's drought (especially trees).
June 14	1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.	Gardening Day! Pollinator gardening and native plants!
July 26	10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.	Waterwise gardening.
August 23	10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.	Pests and diseases in the garden.
Sept. 27	10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.	Fall planting (i.e., garlic, kale, spring bulbs, etc.).
Oct. 25	10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.	Putting your garden to bed; also, cover crops for winter.
