The Declaration of Independence: The Words Heard 'Round the World -- Tuesday, June 16, 2026, 7:00-8:00 p.m.

The document...the day...the journey...the celebration: from conception to celebration (and a whole lot of independence in between). From the Magna Carta (1215) to the English Bill of Rights (1689) to the French and Indian War (1754-1763) to the Declaration of Independence to the Revolutionary War to the French Revolution to Napoleon to the War of 1812 to Independence Day today!

Remembering the American Revolution -- Tuesday, June 23, 2026, 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Mark Twain once said, "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." How do you remember the founding of our country? In this lecture, we look at the people and the events, including Paul Revere's ride, Benedict Arnold (from triumph to treason), the duel (Hamilton v. Burr), the painting Washington Crossing the Delaware, to see if our collective memory is the truth or a good story.
