Unleash Your Creativity at the Morris County Library’s Jane Austen 250th Birthday Art Exhibition & Contest!

Calling all Morris County artists! Celebrate the timeless legacy of Jane Austen like never before. In honor of Austen’s 250th birthday, the Morris County Library invites visual artists residing, working, or studying within Morris County to help us celebrate the enduring legacy of this beloved author through artistic interpretation.

Submit your original, Austen-inspired artwork for inclusion in our public exhibition, gracing the library gallery throughout December 2025. This is more than just a display; every piece exhibited is automatically entered into our exciting contest! Library visitors will cast their votes for their favorite artwork and the artist who captures the most hearts will win a $100 gift card to Blick Art Materials.

Ready to create and honor Jane Austen’s legacy? Submit your artwork at the library between November 1st and November 22nd, 2025. Read the below submission information first.

Important:

Download and carefully review the Agreement to Exhibit form(PDF, 163KB). The Agreement includes the library exhibits policy and all details for this exhibit and contest.
Artwork using Artificial Intelligence, whole or in part, is ineligible for submission.
To submit artwork, bring the following to the library between November 1-22, 2025, during library open hours:

Your artwork.
Your completed Agreement to Exhibit form.
A small card with artwork title, if any, and artist name. If your artwork is for sale, please include price and artist/agent contact information. The library does not handle sales; interested buyers must contact the artist/agent directly.

If you're not an artist, your part is easy: Just come to the library this December, during library open hours, to enjoy the submitted artwork from Morris County artists and vote for your favorite!
