Nick Corasaniti, New York Times reporter and author, will speak about and read selections from his book, I Don't Want to Go Home, an oral history of The Stone PonyThe Stone Pony has been the anchor of the Asbury Park music scene since opening its doors in 1974. Locals like Bruce Springsteen, Southside Johnny and Steve Van Zandt helped put us the Pony on the map, while today’s top artists and rising stars continue building a musical legacy. There will be time for Q&A.

About the book:  I Don't Want to Go Home is acaptivating oral history of the iconic music venue The Stone Pony and of the rise, fall, and rebirth of Asbury Park, New Jersey — featuring interviews with Bruce Springsteen, Steve Van Zandt, Southside Johnny, members of the E Street Band and Asbury Jukes, the Ramones, the Jonas Brothers, Jack Antonoff, and other legendary musicians.

About the author:  Nick Corasaniti is a domestic correspondent covering national politics for the New York Times. He has covered four presidential cycles, along with countless congressional, gubernatorial and mayoral races in more than 15 years at theTimes. He was once the Times’s Jersey correspondent, tracking the politics, policy, people, trains, beaches, and eccentricities that give the Garden State its charm. He is a born and raised — and exceptionally proud — New Jerseyan, who splits his time between Asbury Park and Brooklyn.
