Lured to Vermont by Verity’s husband to go through the author’s office for notes, Lowen finds herself haunted by Verity’s chilling presence. Verity is unable to move or speak, but Lowen cannot shake the feeling that there is something other than grief going on in the Crawford family. 

This atmospheric thriller has the mounting dread of Rosemary’s Baby with some elements of romance. The narrative switches back and forth between Lowen’s narration as well as excerpts from Verity’s journals leaving the reader desperate to find out more with each chapter. The ending will shock you!
