If you love dessert, then you will enjoy this creative and insightful approach to dessert making. Prior to launching her Youtube channel, cookbook author Ann Reardon was a food scientist and dietician. In her newest book, How to Cook That: Crazy Sweet Creations, Reardon combines creativity with a knowledge of food science to provide readers with expert advice on a range of topics including, but not limited to, choosing ingredients, substitutions, food safety, and design. On page 48, for example, Reardon explains the difference between real vs. fake or chocolate, and teaches readers how real chocolate can be better stabilized through a process called tempering. By adding freeze-dried cocoa butter to real chocolate, bakers can expect to create more stylized chocolate presentations.

Described as a visual and culinary journey, Crazy Sweet Creations, offers step-by-step instructions for turning out the most delicious and memorable desserts. Most, but not all of the recipes, can be made using simple pantry ingredients. There is an entire chapter dedicated to fun and easy desserts as well as entire chapter dedicated to Ice cream. Each and every recipe in the book includes a link to a video tutorial and the photographs are colorful and interesting. Be sure to check out the watermelon pizza recipe on page 23. Four-ingredient candy sugar balloon bowls appear elegant and look simple enough to make.

Decadent and delightful…this extraordinary cookbook is sure to please! See the following links for more information: howtocookthat.net, youtube.com/user/howtocookthat/videos, and https://www.facebook.com/howtocookthat
