Join the Morris County Library as we celebrate Black History Month with a special presentation from Monica Scott on Thursday, February 9th.

Monica Scott will be telling the story of her 10th generation grandmother, Molly Bannaky. Molly journeyed from England to Maryland in the late seventeenth century, where she worked as an indentured servant until she gained her freedom. Later, she started her own farm and married a freed slave. Molly's African American family has experienced many historical milestones of United States history and her family continues to share their story.
