Evening hours are back! We are excited to announce that beginning Monday, May 2nd, the Morris County Library will operate according to the following schedule: Monday thru Thursday: 9am - 9pm Friday and Saturday: 9am - 5pm Sunday: CLOSED
When: Saturday, May 21 at 2:30 PM (live stream only)
Please join virtuoso flutist, Patricia Lazzara, and guitarist, Darren O’Neill, for a unique program of opera aria arrangements from the great masters – Mozart, Rossini, and Bellini. Throughout the 19th century, the pairing of flute and guitar enjoyed great popularity among amateurs and artists alike. Melodies from the operas of the great masters became the common currency of musical life and were featured in all manner of alternative settings…such as the arrangements on this program by two important artists from Parisian society, flutist Jean-Louis Tulou (1786-1865) and guitarist Ferdinando Carulli (1770-1841).
Performance will be held in the Public Meeting Room and will be free of charge. Doors will open thirty minutes before curtain time. Seating is LIMITED TO 40 AUDIENCE MEMBERS and is on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED basis. Performance will be livestreamed through the library website (mclib.info) via Zoom. Please contact 973-285-6934 for more information.
Free to the Public
