Evening hours are back! We are excited to announce that beginning Monday, May 2nd, the Morris County Library will operate according to the following schedule: Monday thru Thursday: 9am - 9pm Friday and Saturday: 9am - 5pm Sunday: CLOSED
When: Saturday, May 21 at 2:30 PM (live stream only)
Please join baritone, William Amory, and pianist, Ron Levy, for a rare opportunity to hear Franz Schubert's Winterreise, D. 911 (1828) in its entirety. Schubert’s dark song cycle was composed toward the end of his life as a setting in two parts of 24 poems by Wilhelm Müller. From beginning to end, it is an essay in loneliness and despair. There are many connections to shared feelings by all during the pandemic. Due to the time required to perform the cycle, the performance will begin at 2:30 PM. There will be a short intermission.
Performances will be held in the Public Meeting Room and are free of charge. Doors will open thirty minutes before curtain time. Seating is LIMITED TO 40 AUDIENCE MEMBERS and is on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED basis. Performances will be livestreamed through the library website (mclib.info) via Zoom. Please contact 973-285-6934 for more information.
Face masks are required to attend this event.
