Writer Maggie Bliss is struggling for words. Comprised of sweatpants and tee shirts, her limited wardrobe is doing little to inspire her creative energies. In a heated moment, Maggie decides to call it quits with Greg, her significant other. She asks him to move out and then accepts an invitation to visit Paris from her book agent and his partner. Little does Maggie know, things are about to change!

Maggie goes to Paris thinking that six weeks in seclusion is just what she needs to successfully launch her book on time. It is happenstance that Maggie’s sometimes aloof daughter, Nicole, is living in Paris, and that her ex-husband Alan is visiting as well. As they take time to enjoy the sights and the amazing French fare, they get reacquainted. Nicole even hints at the possibility of her parents reuniting.

Timing is everything, and Maggie embarks on a trip that will change how she sees herself and the people in her life. According to New York Times bestselling author Tracey Garvis Graves, Maggie Finds Her Muse is “A delightful, uplifting page-turner of a novel.” I agree. Unexpectedly and much to her surprise, Maggie does find her muse! The sumptuous French fare, wine, and the Parisian culture and surroundings engage the reader and add to the appeal of this lovely romantic novel.

Paris provides Maggie with the perfect opportunity to find the words she is struggling to write and to become the “reason someone gets up every morning.” Be part of Maggie’s journey as she explores Paris and finds her muse!

Special Note: Author Dee Ernst will be here on Saturday, June 4th for Morris Author’s Day. Dee will be speaking about her journey as a writer beginning at 2pm in the public meeting room of the library.
